Color chaning on the fly via cmd-shift-c

When working within TextMate I often find myself needing to change a background color or border slightly off of another color. TextMate has a great tool for doing this, here’s how to use it.

In your current document (usually it’s CSS when working with colors) select the color code by double clicking the number (i.e. #4CADD6). Then, once that color is selected hit cmd-shift-c and you will be presented with the Apple color selection tool:

Adjust your tone, color, or tint and then hit enter. Now you’ll see your numbers have been replaced by the new numbers of the color you selected via the color panel. Sweet! No photoshop, no Xscope, just nice easy color changing.
