TextMate “Tip of the Day”
This may be a bit obvious to some of you but it’s worth mentioning anyways. Like many applications do, TextMate comes with a “Tip of the Day” built-in. I haven’t installed TextMate in years but I think that by default this is turned on when installed. Either way, it offers a “random” tip when TextMate is opened or when you select it from the menu. To see a TextMate Tip from within TextMate just go to TextMate > Show Tip of the Day in the menu bar (see image to the right).
These tips range from very basic to what I would consider intermediate tips. I occationally turn them “on” (by checking the box “Show tips at startup”) when I feel like I may be forgetting some of the easy stuff. Check them out - you just might learn something!
