TextMate: Power Editing for the Mac
Looking around for literature covering the complete awesomeness of TextMate I came across this book published by The Pragmatic Programmers. It’s called “TextMate: Power Editing for the Mac”. I havn’t read it yet but it’s probably a great resource for those who spend a lot of time using TextMate or even those just wanting to use it to it’s fullest extent. Here’s an excerpt from the book’s page on pragprog.com:
With TextMate you can do your normal work, but signal the ever-watchful ninjas as you go. At your command, they will launch into action, slicing through text, building repetitive structures of data in the blink of an eye, and much more. They will even post to your blog, handle your IRC conversations, and read your email.
Inside this book you will learn how to teleport instantly to the exact line of the file you need to be on, edit the data with the briefest incantations of power, and banish the end result to the land of your choosing. It’s magic, as you can plainly see.
It sounds like a good read for sure. If any readers of this blog have read this book I would love to hear some feedback on it. If you’re interested in details you can click the book cover image. It’s available as an eBook for $22.50.

We should be meticulous and discriminating in all the information we give. We should be extraordinarily painstaking in giving opinion that we would not about of following ourselves. Most of all, we ought to escape giving recommendation which we don’t imitate when it damages those who depreciate us at our word.
Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show (teach) him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.

I have this book, and it has proved to be a valuable resource. I mainly just use it as a reference guide for things like custom bundles and actions, etc… I would recommend it to anyone who will be using Textmate regularly.
